Comentarios: Steven Spielberg nació en la ciudad de Cincinnati (Estado de Ohio) pero pasó la mayor parte de su infancia y adolescencia en los suburbios de Haddonfield (New Jersey) y Scottsdale (Arizona)
Steven Spielberg siempre fue un apasionado del cine y desde muy pequeño comenzó a “rodar” sus propias producciones con una cámara de 8mm y luego le cobraba entrada a todos aquellos que deseaban ver de qué se trataba.
Luego de que sus padres se divorciaron Steven Spielberg se mudó junto a su madre y sus tres
hermanas a California. Precisamente allí intentó ingresar a la University of Southern California
School of Theater, Film and Television en tres ocasiones, pero nunca tuvo éxito debido a sus bajas calificaciones. Paradójicamente luego de que el director cobrara fama mundial la mencionada casa de estudios le otorgó un título honorario en 1994.
Mientras Steven Spielberg estudiaba filología en la Universidad Estatal de California consiguió un trabajo en Estudios Universal, más precisamente en la división encargada de las producciones para televisión. Llegó a dirigir varios episodios de algunas de las series más importantes de la época y también fue el encargado de algunas películas producidas especialmente para la televisión.
Precisamente esas incursiones en cine fueron las que lo llevaron a tomar la decisión de probar suerte en la gran pantalla y las que finalmente transformaron a Steven Spielberg en uno de los directores de cine más importantes de la historia del séptimo arte.
